MOULTON - Willis Konecny, 70, of Moulton, Texas and formerly of Shiner, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in Live Oak, Texas. Funeral Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. Rosary will be said on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas with Deacon Joe Machacek officiating. Willis was born on December 31, 1941 in Shiner, Texas. He was the son of Edwin and Mary (Hobizal) Konecny. Willis and Allyne Chapman became close friends and united as a couple on February 14, 2000. He was a farmer and rancher who liked to "piddle" with thing on the ranch. Willis liked to take care of his garden. He would water his fruit trees while sitting on his riding lawnmower. He is survived by his wife, Allyne Chapman, one brother; Dennis Konecny and his wife, Carol of Yoakum, Texas, one nephew; Michael Konecny of Yoakum, Texas, one great-Niece; Emmily Konecny of Yoakum, Texas, many cousins, one step-son; Joey Preiss and his wife, Stormie of Council Bluffs, Iowa, six step-daughters; Arlene Adams and her husband, Joe of Baytown, Texas, Melissa Markham and her husband, Leon Moody of Pasadena, Texas, Christine Sandlin and her husband, Bryan of Baytown, Texas, Perrin Chapman of Wichita, Kansas, Carmen Wahl and her husband, Michael of Baytown, Texas, Connie Chapman of Crown Point, Indiana, twenty three grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mary Konecny. The family request memorials to: Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church / 306 S.
