—Register-Guard Eugene, Oregon December 14, 2012 Rachel Hill A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 5 at St. Jude's Parish for Rachel Helen Hill of Eugene, who died Dec. 9 of age-related causes at age 99. Inurnment will be at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 at Mount Calvary Cemetery. She was born July 24, 1913, in Ottawa, Kan., to Warren and Rachel Van Horn Alexander. She married Joseph Hill on Aug. 12, 1931, in Anselmo, Neb. He died May 7, 1994. She graduated from high school. She was a housewife who also provided nursing care at Mercy Hospital in Roseburg and Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Eugene. Survivors include three sons, Robert of Eugene, Raymond of Thousand Palms, Calif., and Edward of La Grande; and eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. A son, Warren, died previously. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances to Sacred Heart Hospice.
