Bio
Our beloved John D. Foreman, 74, of Lubbock went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. He was born on September 20, 1938 to Jimmie and Grace Foreman in Comanche County. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1957 and entered the US Army where he served in the United States and Germany for the next three years. Following his discharge from the Army, John moved to Lubbock and worked as a mechanic. He met and married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Dodd on Sept. 3, 1961 in Briscoe. In 1962, John went to work for the US Postal Service and retired in 2000 to become Jacquelyn's caregiver after a tragic car accident. John took great pride in his yard and kept it in immaculate condition. He was a member of Philadelphia Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jacquelyn; two daughters, Sharee Nieder and husband Gary of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Laurie Cox and husband Jon of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Evaine, Graham and Micah Nieder and four sisters, Ann Holmes, Mary Foreman, Marilynn White and Carolyn Nelson and husband John; mother-in-law, Mary Dodd; numerous nieces, nephews and other in-laws.
