Bio

Velma Ruth Payne was born in 1911, daughter of Charles A. and Clementine Payne. Velma married Henry Clyde Wofford, who was born June 12, 1893, the son of Youman Johnson Wofford and Melinda Jane Benson. Henry had been married before to a woman named Dora Bell, and he had a daughter by that marriage. Henry and Velma had a son, Kenneth Johnson Wofford. Velma died in 1935, in McCamey, Texas (Upton County) and was buried there in the Resthaven Cemetery. Henry died May 2, 1964 in McCamey, Texas and was buried beside Velma.
