Daily Republic- 7/22/1966 Funeral services for Anton Kisely Sr., 86, were July 18 at the Presbyterian Church with Dr. Leslie B. Lewis officiating. Music was by Mrs. Lewis and Cindy Lewis, vocalists, and Sheryl Johnson, organist. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery with the Stedronsky Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Novak, John Fuchs, Reuben Jones, E. R. Vesely, Victor Nelson and Oscar Thompson. Active pallbearers were Robert, Ernest and Richard Dvorak, Dean Toman, Leonard Kisely and Norman Hermanek. Mr. Kisely was born Jan. 9, 1880, in Bohemia to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kisely and died July 15 at a nursing home in Mitchell. He came to the United States in 1884. In 1907 he married Josephine Varilek at Lake Andes. Mr. Kisely, served on the school board for a number of years. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Emil and Jerry, Lake Andes; Sylvia Kisely, Geddes; Mrs. Eugene (Caroline) Toman, Mitchell; Mrs. Clifford (Carmilla) Juhnke, Parkston, and Mrs. Ray (Georgine) Anderson, Winner; one brother, Joseph, Lake Andes; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
