HIGBEE NEWS (Randolph County, Missouri) 22 June 1906--As briefly noted in the last issue of the NEWS, Mrs. Emmett Robb died at the home of her brother, John S. Rule, in Higbee, June 13th. She had been a sufferer for a year or so from consumption and about a year ago was taken to Colorado by her devoted husband where it was hoped she would regain her health. She improved from the first day and in a few months, thinking that her recovery was sure, she returned to her old home. In a short time she again began to fail and she was again taken west, but this time to no purpose. For a while she held her own, but only for a short time. Realizing that her days were numbered she asked that she might be brought home, that she might die among her friends and relatives and in the home of her childhood. She lived but 18 hours after having reached home. Mrs. Robb was the daughter of the late David Rule, and was an exemplary Christian, a devoted wife and mother and kind neighbor. Besides her husband and five children she leaves a host of relatives and friends who deeply regret her departure. Interment was made at New Hope, Howard county. To the bereaved family the NEWS extends its warmest sympathies. *transcription by Kathy Bowlin*
