Juanita Owens Obituary Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 7, 2012. Juanita Marie (Brown) Owens was born to John and Lydia A. Brown in Lancaster, Texas, on August 7, 1925, and passed away December 7, 2012, in Mesquite, Texas. She graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School in 1942. She married William Edward Owens on September 17, 1942, and was a resident of Combine, Texas, for 18 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia A. Brown; her brother, John Brown Jr.; her husband, William Edward Owens; and her son, James Edward Owens. She is survived by her son, William Rodney Owens and his wife, Becky of Combine, Texas; her sisters, Loma Gilreath and Annette Kusserow of Mesquite, Texas; seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Juanita worked for Columbia and Sony Pictures as a cashier for over 40 years. She retired at the age of 71 in 1996. She is a Lifetime member of W.O.M.P.I. (Women of the Motion Picture Industry). She attended church at Point View Baptist Church in Combine, Texas, and was active with the Crandall-Combine Seniors Group. She enjoyed family, grandkids, great-grandkids, traveling the world, and was an avid 42 player. She enjoyed going to the lake house, and her pets, especially her cat, Cricket.
