Thuy Quang Nguyen celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation, Friday, September 7, 2012, 1:00 PM until service time with a Rosary at 1:45 pm also at the Church. ALBIN AUGUST MLCAK, SR. CRYSTAL BEACH- Funeral services for Albin August Mlcak, 93, of Crystal Beach, TX and previously of Galveston and San Felipe, TX will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm from Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas with the Rev. Thuy Quang Nguyen celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis. Visitation, Rosary and Services will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, September 7 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Albin August Mlcak was born to parents, August and Johanna Mlcak in Frydek, Texas on March 1, 1919, was raised there and schooled in Austin County. Albin was married to his sweetheart and lifetime love, Annie Petrash Mlcak on August 30, 1941 in Galveston and lived there until 1983 when they built their home in the country and retired to San Felipe, Texas to grow pecans, vegetables and dewberries and go fishin' whenever they chose. Albin was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was inducted into the US Army in 1943. He served in the 393rd Engineer Special Services division during his service to his country. Upon his return to Galveston, he began his career with the Port of Galveston as a shop foreman in the railroad round house until he retired in 1983. Albin joined Annie in heaven on September 4, 2012 while living in Crystal Beach. Albin was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mlcak of San Felipe, Texas; sister, Martha Mlcak Ermis of Galveston and brother, Henry Mlcak of Frydek, Texas. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Albin and Sara Mlcak, Jr. of Crystal Beach, Ronald and Kim Mlcak of Bayou Vista and Randy and Leslye Mlcak of Galveston; grandchildren, Angie Mlcak Turner and her husband, Rick, of Fort Worth, Beth Mlcak of Beaumont, Lynn Mlcak of Crystal Beach, Ron and Alisha Mlcak II of Conroe, Ransom Mlcak of League City, and Mollye Mlcak of Missouri City and six great grandchildren.
