Gladys H. Barco Easley Gladys Hamlin Barco, 84, formerly of Miami Shores, Fla., died Sunday, January 04, 2009, at Palmetto Health Baptist- Easley. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Gaston H. and Ethel Johnson Hamlin. Mrs. Barco was retired from Bank of America and had resided 55 years in Miami Shores, prior to moving to the Magnolia's of Easley in May 2006. She was an active member of Miami Shores Presbyterian Church until her move to Easley. She was also a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a brother, R.V. Hamlin and his wife Edna of Greenville; a sister, Kitty Pou and her husband Marion of Belton; two stepsons, Carroll K. Barco of Orlando, Fla. and Claude K. Barco, Jr. of Mobile, Ala.; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Claude K. Barco, Sr., and by two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. The family will receive friend at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Cemetery and Community Mausoleum in Miami, FL. The family is at their respective homes. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to her wonderful caregiver, Mrs. Linda Gantt, and to the Magnolia's for their love and support, and also to Mrs. Betty Knight in Miami, Fla, for her love and support during Mrs. Barco's illness. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Miami Shores Presbyterian Church, 602 N E 96th St., Miami Shores, Fl 33138.
