Bio

Joseph P. Girard immigrated to this country circa 1868. He was married to Cecile Clerc who arrive in the US on 2-21-1870 in New York on the ship Cella. Her brother Victor w ho eventually settled in Nebraska arrived around the same time.. Cecile and Joseph were married in 1871. They had at least7 children, including: Josephine born 1876 (married Eugene Walter), Cecile born 1878 , August, Joseph and Jules. Their twin daughters married young men from Nebraska and lived their lives there. The others appear to have stayed in New York. Joseph was a watchcase maker in New York City.
