Leona Brown Manger was called home to be with her Savior on December 1, 2012. Leona was born to Emil and Ida Brown on January 26, 1926, in Hallesttsville, Texas, and became a long time resident of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Manger, grandson Mark Friese, and brother Elijah Brown. Leona is survived by her son Joseph Kast and his wife Jan Bond Kast, daughters Ester Friese and Pat Scharf, granddaughter Lisa Lytle Benas well as great grandchildren, Steven Friese Annie, Amber Garza Roy and Henry Hill. Also surviving are her brother, Samuel Brown Mary Lou, and sisters, Matilda Bringer, Pearline Brown, Yvonne Schertz, Sarah Bishop Billy, and Rachel Freeman Cecil. Known by all as Nonnie, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.
