John Peter Eisel, 5135 N.E. Flanders street, died Wednesday at Reedsport, where he had been for the past three months. Born February 25, 1886, in Pierce, Minn., he was a railroad switchman for 15 years, and for the past 20 years had engaged in logging and construction operations in the Pacific Northwest. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of International Brotherhood of Hoisting and Portable Engineers, Local No. 701. Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Edward Holman & Son mortuary, with recitation of the rosary Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery. Mr. Eisel leave the widow, Anna; his mother, Mrs. Mary Eisel, Little Falls, Minn.; four daughters, Ruth and Dolores, both in Michigan; Mrs. Lois Ramsb and Mrs. Donna Standley, both of Portland; six sons, John, Washington, D.C.; Chandler, Moscow, Idaho; Elwood, Hollywood; Orlo N., Loren and Russell, all of Portland; five sisters and five brothers, and 17 grandchildren.
