Josie Marie Chovanec, age 82, passed away on November 25, 2012. Josie was born on January 15, 1930, in Warrenton to Fritz Gerdes and Olga Ilse Gerdes. She is survived by one son, Don Chovanec and his wife Betsy; two grandchildren, Lori Hollek and husband Justin and Chad Chovanec and wife Amanda, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; infant son, James; son, Bobby and her parents. Visitation is scheduled at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors and rosary will be recited. Funeral services are scheduled at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. Interment will follow in La Grange City Cemetery.
