Daughter of Ferdinand R. "Fred" and Verna C. (Pokorny) Fujan. —Register-Guard Eugene, Oregon November 27, 2012 Geraldine Palanuk OAKRIDGE — The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Oakridge for Geraldine Ann Palanuk of Oakridge, who died Nov. 22 of pneumonia. She was 83. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the church. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. today, Nov. 27, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Oakridge. She was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Raymond, Neb., to Fred and Verna Pokorny Fujan. She married Adam Palanuk on May 26, 1951, in Wahoo, Neb. He died in 2003. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress and telephone switchboard operator. Survivors include a son, Fredrick of Oakridge; a daughter, Mary Freeman of Oakridge; a brother, John Fujan of Wahoo ; a sister, Maryann Votipka of Exeter, Neb.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, John Adam Palanuk, died in 1961. Burial will be at Forestvale Memorial Park in Oakridge. Arrangements by Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield.
