Obituary in Lufkin Daily News, Oct 14, 1972 Services for Mrs. Etta Shofner, 90, of Huntington, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Helton officiating and interment in the Huntington Oddfellow Cemetery. Mrs. Shofner died Friday afternoon after a long illness. She was born February 5, 1882, at Huntington and had resided there all her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors: Daughter: Mrs. Earl Alexander Sons: G. L. and J. M. Shofner Sister: Mrs. Grace Powell 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren Nieces and nephews Gipson Funeral Home, directors
