Bio

Services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Kuncl Chapel for Mrs. William (Alice) Kortman. The Rev. J.F. Balzer officiated with interment in the West Blue Cemetery. She was born April 16, 1894 near Milford, the daughter of Arnold and Bertha Koop Fix. She spent her early years in the area and was confirmed in the West Blue Church. On January 30, 1913 she was married to William Kortman of Dorchester. They lived on the same farm in Saline County for 41 years. They celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1963. She is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Mrs. Laura Pospisil of Hallam and Mrs. Norma Freeouf of Wilber; grandson, Dolen Freeouf, and a sister, Mrs. Verna Beenders of Nesperce, Idaho.
