Bio

Waxahachie Daily Light; May 15, 1947 J. H. Bond, 71, resident of Ennis for more than 60 years, died Wednesday of a heart attack in the home of a son, A. D. Bond, in Dallas where he had gone several days ago for a visit. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Keever Chapel with the Rev. S. T. Francis, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was made in Myrtle Cemetery. John Henry Bond was born April 16, 1876 in Warren County, TN. He came with his parents to Texas in 1879; they lived here one year, then moved to Missouri and in 1884 returned to Texas and had lived here since that time. He was married here to Miss Francis Puckett Nov 14, 1897, who died here in 1929. Surviving are two sons, A. D. Bond, Dallas, and T. J. Bond, Waco, 4 grandchildren, one brother, C. S. Bond, Dallas, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Stausberry, Hillsboro. Mr. Bond was a member of the First Baptist Church.
