Josiah Singletary served in the American Revolution (Pen.# SW6064) as a private in the militia under Capt. Charles Bullock and Col. Thomas Brown. He married Sarah Ann Harrison (22 Mar 1759- 9Nov. 1830). Some of their children were: Willis Singletary who married Mary Wood. David Singletary who married Sarah Simpson. They moved to Thomas Co., GA. Amelia Singletary who married Joseph Wood After Sarah Ann Harrison Singletary died, Josiah married Sarah Regan Parker, widow of Francis Parker(1765-1830). They were married in 1833. Sarah lived in Bladen Co with Josiah but at his death in 1844, she moved back to Robeson Co., and is buried there with her Regan family in Wildcat Swamp.
