Bio
Funeral services for Victor B. Drozd Sr., 70, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bryan. Mr. Drozd died Tuesday at his College Station home. The Rev. John McCaffrey and Msgr. John Malinowksi will officiate. Burial will be in Restever Memorial Park in Bryan. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home of Bryan. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's. Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Callaway-Jones. Mr. Drozd was born in El Campo and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1951 with a bachelor of science degree. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1982, after 30 years of service. He was a lifelong member of KJZT. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Drozd; two sons and daughters-in-law, Victor and Rosemary Drozd and Mark and Amy Drozd, both of Bryan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Larry Zweifel of Bryan and Brenda and Joe Dean Smith of College Station; two brothers, John F. Drozd of El Campo, Texas, and Robert J. Drozd of Brazoria, Texas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
