Bio

From The Wolbach Messenger, September 5, 1974, Johanna Marie Hansen was born December 24, 1884 at Omaha, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Andersen. She received her education and grew to womanhood at Omaha. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith. She was married to August Hansen and the couple lived on a farm near Cushing for a number of years. In 1965 she moved to St. Paul where she has since resided. She passed from this life on Sunday, September 1, 1974 at Abel's Nursing Home in St. Paul at the age of 89 years. Surviving are her husband August of St. Paul, two daughters, Mrs. Clark (Margaret) Sherman of St. Paul and Mrs. Frank (Pearl) Durrant of Valley Ford, Washington; one son, Dean of St. Paul; six grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were her parents, one brother Hans Andersen and two sisters, Mrs. Sophie Nelsen and Mrs. Mattie Whitehill. Contributor: Linda Berney (47343179)
