Services for Joyce I. Jones, 79, of Lubbock will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Franklin-Bartley Chapel with the Rev. Paul Jantzen officiating. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery in Slaton under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 10, 1925, in Hamilton, Texas, to the late Walter and Effie Mae Bullard. Joyce married James C. Jones on April 12, 1943, in Hamilton. She had been a resident of Lubbock for 20 years and a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Church and the Prime Timers Sunday School class. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jimmey Jones of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Joan Cox and husband Bernie of Childress and Pam Scarbro and husband Ward of Irving; a granddaughter, Spring Willingham and husband Scott of Lubbock; a grandson, Brant "B.J." Jones and wife Mindi of Roswell, N.M.; a great-grandson, Cason Jones; and a sister, Lois Miller of Northg lenn, Colo.
