YOAKUM - Harvey Edward Schumacher, age 77, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012. He was born on March 4, 1935 in DeWitt County to Arthur and Elsie Maresch Schumacher. He was semi-retired from Cuero/Yoakum Propane after 33 years of service. He loved tractors and farming. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Hermann Sons and Turner Hall (Club 90). Survivors: wife of 30 years, Marie Smolik Schumacher; daughters, Annette Rath and husband Erwin of Cuero, Shirley Schoenfeld and husband David, JoAnn Meyer and Bobby Berger, Patricia Mikulencak and husband Leroy and Mary Ann Henry and husband Dwight all of Moulton; grandchildren, Anthony Rath and wife Shelly, James Rath and wife Kassie, Pamela Tucker, Ashley Mikes and husband Matthew, Michael Raab and wife Jayme, Tiffany Raab, Robin Harvey and husband Lance, Diana Picha and husband Michael, Stacy Wagner and husband Dusty, Melanie Cowan and husband Bobby, April Simper and husband Bobby and Damon Billimek; great-grandchildren, Ashton Rath, Makenzi Rath, Chandler Rath, Hailey Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Cassie Appelt, Kale Mikes, Kylie Raab, Morgan Neyland, Madison Raab, Malorie Harvey, Abigail Harvey, Tyler Harvey, Camille Cowan and Nicholas Simper; brothers, Marvin Schumacher and Harry Lee Schumacher both of Cuero along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents; son, Allen Schumacher; grandson, David Keith Schoenfeld and a great-grandson, Karter Michael Raab. Rosary was held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery near Cuero. Pallbearers: Anthony Rath, James Rath, Michael Raab, Damon Billimek, Kenneth Schumacher, Steven Stehle, Brent Schumacher and Robert Stehle. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
