Jack Carroll (1933-2012) Jack L. Carroll, 79, retired highway paving contractor in Texas and Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Family night will be from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Dannel Funeral Home. Graveside services for Mr. Jack Carroll will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Fleming of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Jack Carroll was born Sept. 21, 1933 to M. L. Carroll and Mattie Lou Carroll in Rural Collin County. He married Bobbie Pell on Jan. 2, 1954. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Jack Carroll was dedicated to his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time at his ranch and hunting. He was associated with BI-CO Paving Inc., Stringtown Material and Oklahoma/Texas Asphalt Corporation. He was a 32nd degree Shriner. Surviving is his beloved wife, Bobbie Carroll; son, Greg Carroll and significant other Beverly Pugh of Sherman; daughter, Angie Frost and husband Robert of Sherman; three grandchildren, Kandice, David and Ashley Frost, sister Nancy Chastain of McKinney, Texas. Mr. Jack Carroll was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lonnie Joe Carroll of Houston. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
