Logansport Pharos Tribune, August 7, 1998 MONTICELLO — Services for Clyde D. Bridge, 80, of 6705E 400N, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Pike Creek Church of the Brethren. He died Thursday, Aug. 6,1998, at his residence following an extended illness. Born Dec. 9,1917, in White County, he was the son of Lloyd G. and Anna Bowsher Bridge. On Sept. 10,1977, in his residence, he was married to Lin Tustin, who survives. A 1935 graduate of Monticello High School, he was a farmer for 30 years. He served as White County Auditor for six years and Liberty Township Trustee for eight years. Mr. Bridge had worked for State & Savings Bank in Monticello for 13 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Pike Creek Church of the Brethren since he was 12 years old, serving the church as deacon, treasurer and a member of the church board. He also was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years He was a member of the Monticello Kiwanis Club from 1986 to 1996, and he volunteered for the White County Food Pantry. He also was a member of the Gideons for seven years. Also surviving are four daughters, Rosalyn Hahn and Janet Sellers, both of Logansport, Judith Wagner, Findley, Ohio, and Martha Duff, Delphi; one stepson, Freddie H. Laber, Rockfield; one stepdaughter, Melodie Lin Payne, West Lafayette; two brothers, Ray Bridge, Mesa, Ariz., and Lynn Bridge, Monticello; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded in death. The Rev, Jason Metzinger and the Rev. Tom Bridge will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Pike Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and one hour before the services Monday in the church.
