Bio

COLUMBUS - Catherine T. Stachura, 90, of Columbus, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Columbus Community Hospital. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan, with the Rev. Frank Jindra officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. vigil, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, all at the church. McKown Funeral Home in Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Stachura was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Polk County, to Stanley and Mary (Cuba) Stachura. She attended District No. 17 School in Polk County and St. Stanislaus School. She lived and worked on the family farm for the entirety of her life. She was a member of the church, St. Anne's Sodality and a former member of the Duncan Lions Club. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Pier, Belle Stachura and Celia Stachura; and four brothers, Bernard, Edward, Joseph and William Stachura.
