Mary Katherine Ayres was born in Troup, Texas to Eli Snow Ayres (1856-1927) and Eugenia Virginia Arms (1867-1962) She married Elray Randolph W. Bugg on May 6, 1933 in Lake Charles, La. In 1934 she lived at the Hanna House Hotel in Troup, Texas at 118 North Georgia St. Her paternal grandparents were Lt Eli James P. Ayres(1830-1862) and Jane Harriott Vance (1830-1885) and her maternal grandparents were Marion Francis Arms (1846-1906) and Mary Eliza Morris (1849-1913)
