Regina Z. Marak, 88, of Marak, died Tuesday, January 23, 1996, in a Cameron nursing home. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 24, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 25, at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak, with the Rev. Leonard Leddy officiating. Burial will be in Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Cemetery (AKA Marak Cemetery). Mrs. Marak was born on Aug. 23, 1907, in Milam County, Texas. She was a member of the Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, the KJZT Lodge #21 of Marak, and St. Ann's Altar Society of Marak. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Marak; and a daughter, Gertrude Marak. Survivors include sons, Adolph Marak, of Buckholts, Eugene Marak and Johnny Marak, both of Cameron, and Frank Marak, of Houston; daughters, Mary Zucha, of Pasadena, and Gloria Shelton, of Cameron; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, John Zarosky, of Cameron.
