Carolyn Sue Cruse Brunson, 69, of Robinson, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, November 10, 2012. Graveside Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, at Rosenthal Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Wayne Williams of the First United Methodist Church in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Carolyn Sue was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Akard and Coleen Cruse. Sue attended the Lorena school district and graduated from Waco High School in 1962. She went on to graduate from McLennan Community College. In the late 1960s, Sue started her career at the Federal Aviation Administration, later moving on to the Veterans Administration, and finally moving to the Internal Revenue Service. Sue's civil service career spanned over 30 years, the last 15 of which were carried out with the United States Postal Service. As a Customer Service representative, Sue not only served customers daily, but she managed to handle some of the largest accounts in the Waco area, including, Ft. Hood and Baylor University, along with several other large employers. Sue held the position of Post Master in Mt. Calm, Texas, as well as Salado. Being the "people person" Sue was, always honest, fair, and hard working, Sue was admired and respected by her colleagues. Carolyn retired in 1999. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Durocher and husband, Page, of Houma, La.; son, Bradford Brunson and wife, Cathy, of Robinson; grandchildren, Sarah, Sydney, Hailey, Colby, and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Alexzandria Brown and father, Braxton, and Madelyn Brunson and mother, Jessica; sister, Ann E. Parks and husband, Bill, of Waco; and niece, Peggy Rush and husband, David, of Waco. Waco Tribune-Herald: 11/11/2012 - 11/12/2012...W10
