Born Sept. 6, 1924, in the Fairlie community, he was the son of Harvey W. and Mary Bell Jackson Crowell. He married Jonna Ardis on Dec. 3, 1996, in the Hunt County Courthouse. Mr. Crowell retired from L-3 Communications and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Mitchell officiating under the direction of R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
