Bio

MOULTON - Julius Pete Hanslik, 82, of Moulton, passed away November 7, 2012. He was born on October 26, 1930 to Pete & Emily Gaidusek Hanslik in Witting, Texas. He was a member of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in March 1953, and returned to his family's homestead to carry on farming. He married Frances Grahmann on September 20, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Julius was an active member at St Mary's Catholic Church and community, and served on numerous committees like on, Farm Service Agency, Moulton Farm COOP, and SPJST. Julius is survived by: his wife Frances Grahmann, of 58 years, son Michael Hanslik and wife Margaret of Moulton, daughter Sandra Pustka and husband Edward of Hallettsville, son Patrick Hanslik of Moulton, daughter Beverly Hrncir and husband William 'Billy' of Hallettsville, son Kenneth Hanslik and wife Denise of Victoria, son Dennis Hanslik and wife Kathy of Smithville, daughter Carol Becan and husband Samuel of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, daughter Donna Baron and husband Christopher of La Grange, and son Paul Hanslik and fiancée Ashley Schwenke of Moulton, nineteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by one sister, Adela and husband Dennis Ermis of Pearland, Texas, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Julius was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son Mark Gerard Hanslik. Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Friday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; and 9:30 am, Saturday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Mark Hanslik, Matthew Hanslik, David Pustka, Stratton Hrncir, Slayton Hrncir, Sterling Hrncir, Keith Hanslik, and Zachary Becan. Burial: St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Memorials (in Lieu of Flowers): St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Hospice of South Texas, or donor's choice.
