Bio

Richard M. Pratt, 55, a long-time resident of Greeley and a resident of Grand Island the past six years, died June 16th at a hospital in Grand Island. The family lived at the Roush Trailer Court. He had been in failing health for several years and entered the hospital last Sunday. Death was attributed to cancer. Burial was in the Methodist Cemetery at Greeley. Mr. Pratt was born April 4, 1909 on a farm west of Greeley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pratt, longtime residents of the Greeley County. He married Esther Moore July 12, 1933 at Greeley. The couple farmed west of Greeley before moving to Greeley, where he was employed for a number of years by the county ASC committee. Because of failing health he retired in 1958 and the family moved to Grand Island. Survivors include his wife; one son, Tom, of Grand Island; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanetia Meyer of Ainsworth; his mother, Mrs. Harry Pratt of Greeley, one brother, Robert, and one sister, Mrs. Lucille McIntosh, both of grand Island; and three grandchildren.
