Bio

She died at St. Thomas Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tandy Walker Fitts and Elizabeth Ann Trapp; her husband of 55 years, Alton Close; a brother, Bernice Fitts, and a sister Martha Nell Fitts Scott. She was survived by a son, Ben Close of Dowelltown; a daughter, Judy Close of Florida; grandchildren, Dwayne and Elaine Close of Smithville, Daryl and Angie Close of Smithville, David and Renee Close of Brush Creek, and Mary Grace and Howard Bennett of Hermitage; and eight great-grandchildren.
